History

The fourth generation, the Porsche 993.

In the 911 Turbo of the 993 model line, a twin exhaust gas turbocharger was used for the first time, with a smaller exhaust gas turbocharger for each bank of cylinders. It was also the first turbocharged model to be fitted with 4-wheel drive.

The Turbo's front had three separate air vents and air slots for cooling the brakes, located low on the side. The rear spoiler was completely painted in the color of the body. Like the Carrera 4 models, the 911 Turbo also had white indicators at the front and red at the rear.

The 3.6-liter biturbo engine delivered 408 hp as standard. From model year 1996 a power kit for increased power to 430 hp was available, with 450 hp from model year 1998.

The ultimate Porsche.

The 993 Turbo is the most beautiful generation of all Porsches. The beautiful lines, the wide hips and the mighty streamlined vented spoiler in body color that still manages to be stylish in the way it is subtly draped over the aft deck complete the picture.
